ADA Compliance Statement

ShaneWebGuy is committed to furthering the accessibility and usability of its website, ShaneWebGuy will be using the relevant portions of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to guide its compliance. The relevant portions of the WCAG will serve as our primary web accessibility standard, though other standards may also be used to provide accessibility to the extent required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

What Have We Done?

This website was developed with the theme “Twenty Fourteen by the WordPress team“. This was done per “If you are unsure which theme to use for an accessible site, we recommend Twenty Fourteen as a beautiful, full-featured theme that is fully accessible.” from

How We Are Testing?

ShaneWebGuy is using a variety of testing tools including but not limited to Web Accessibility by Level Access and AC Checker. Any adjustments are made based on feedback from these tests.

How are We doing ?

Based on the latest scans the majority of the errors are coming back from a Twitter feed. Here is a current list of know errors that are being looked into:

1.4 Distinguishable: Make it easier for users to see and hear content including separating foreground from background.
Note: This is related to a design change for the background

How Often Are We Testing?

An accessibility scan is done once per quarter based on the following schedule:

First quarter runs from January 01 – March 31.
Second quarter runs from April 01 – June 30.
Third quarter runs from July 01 – September 30.
Fourth quarter runs from October 01 – December 31.
