For the last 17 years, I’ve worked as a small business website developer. It’s a great fortune of mine to be able to draw on my background in business while creating websites. This has greatly improved the quality of service I can offer my customers. Even if two clients are using the same service in the same sector, their business models will seem quite different from one another.

DEVELOPMENT SERVICES:

  • WordPress Development
  • AMP Mobile Development
  • Landing Pages
  • HTML / CSS Development
  • Responsive Websites
  • Maintenance & Security
  • ADA Friendly Websites
  • Joomla Developer
  • Squarespace Developer

UNDERSTANDING THE BUSINESS MODEL:

Successful website development begins with gaining insight into and clearly defining the client’s business strategy. For the company and growth plan to be most effective, questions must be asked of the customer to ascertain their vision. Since developing a website calls for careful forethought and focused effort, this stage is crucial. Consider the following as you chart a course for the future of your site:

  • To what end are you working to expand your site?
  • To whom do you hope to appeal?
  • What information does your target demographic seek?
  • How should content be structured on your site such that it best serves your visitors?
  • What specifications must any improvements meet?
  • Is it necessary for your site to adhere to certain regulations?
  • What should the layout of your website be like?
  • How will you know whether the changes you made were effective?
  • Where do you feel your site most succeeds right now? Where does it fall short?

DETERMINING THE BUDGET:

In return for the time I put into a project, I can provide a finished output. The time and resources available for a website’s review, development, and promotion will be set by the available budget. Based on my research and consideration of the client’s financial constraints, I propose a course of action.

The extent to which a user values a website relies on how well it was designed and built to meet the user’s needs and provide relevant information. The following are common components of web design and development costs:

Redesigning core aesthetic aspects of the site such as the color scheme, font family selection, graphic libraries, etc.

  • Creating and refining a new look for your site’s overall aesthetic, including the stylesheets and page layouts. The appropriate site designer or web developer can do wonders with content management systems such WordPress and Squarespace, making a tremendous impression on visitors as soon as they click through.
  • Incorporating search engine optimization (SEO) best practices, such as using a schema for structured data, increasing site exposure via the right use of selected keywords, optimizing your site’s meta information, and developing a robust, user-friendly UI that is also fully mobile-responsive. The majority of website traffic is now generated from mobile devices, therefore any issues with how it displays there must be addressed immediately. We have moved on from the days when personal computers dominated online activity.
  • Web development also includes addressing security requirements and correctly installing and configuring plugins.
  • Be mindful of modern guidelines for the visually handicapped. If you managed to optimize your site to perfection, not only would Google show it to more people, but so would every other search engine.
  • Fixing rendering issues in various browsers is yet another must-do. Your site’s design might seem similar on desktop browsers, mobile browsers, additionally app mini browsers.
  • Finally, your site must be fully responsive and optimized for mobile viewing. This is absolutely not up for discussion.

RECOMMENDING THE TECHNOLOGIES USED:

Once the business strategy and the financial constraints have been established, I will give technical suggestions. A “one size fits all” approach does not exist. Depending on their history and current skill set, your clients will have varying requirements.

It is my responsibility to guarantee that the client’s website runs smoothly, as intended, and in accordance with the needs of the company model. One of the primary objectives is to design a site that is interesting and appealing to the eye. Each project requires a unique combination of web technologies to provide the basis for a user-friendly site structure and thoughtful UX design.

New tools for online enterprises are constantly being created. The goal of these innovations is to make the internet more accessible and user-friendly. Web accessibility is critical for many reasons. What are your current priorities for the site? Where would you want to travel, if anywhere at all?

When conceptualizing and developing your website, I use the knowledge and expertise I’ve gained over the years. As a result, it becomes sturdy and has the durability necessary to thrive in challenging conditions. Today, anything can be found online, and every industry is undergoing a digital revolution.

The next three to five decades of your company’s life will be shaped by the careful planning and execution of your site construction. Is your site optimized for mobile use? Are you prepared to meet the needs of a new breed of internet user—one that is inquisitive, astute, and always connected to the web?

PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE:

A website’s construction process is analogous to that of a “brick and mortar” store’s. In the early stages of a company’s growth, it’s crucial to know how the owner or customer sees the company developing over the following three, five, or ten years.

I think the client’s demands have been met by my multifaceted approach to growth. The first stage in any web development project should always be figuring out the business strategy. The design, construction methods, and technology used are all determined by this factor. To provide a suggestion that is tailored to the client’s requirements, it is necessary to first understand those demands. That’s the main distinction between a “coder” and a web company marketing consultant.
